IPOH: A wheelchair-bound woman is believed to have witnessed her younger son murdering her other son and daughter-in-law in cold blood.

The woman, in her 90s, had to wait until her eldest son returned home the next morning from his job as a security guard.

Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Yahaya Hassan said the elderly woman was found unharmed.

“The eldest son, in his late 60s, came home after working on a night shift as a security guard.

“He saw the bodies and quickly lodged a police report,” he said.

The woman and her son were too distraught to talk to the media. According to Comm Yahaya, there were five people living in the house – the elderly woman, her three sons and a daughter-in-law.

“Based on our investigation, it is believed that there was an altercation between two brothers. We believe the victims were murdered on Wednesday night,” he said.

He said the two victims, who were previously staying in Kedah, had just moved in early this year.

The murdered man worked as a foreman while his wife was a homemaker.

He said there might have been two murder weapons.

“Both victims suffered injuries on their head believed to be from sharp and blunt objects. We have yet to find the weapons.”

The man was found lying on the floor while his wife was leaning against the wall, he said.

Comm Yahaya said the police were now looking for the suspect who was last seen driving one of the victims’ cars.

“Right now we only have one suspect and we will continue the investigation to find the motive behind the murder,” he said.

He added that the suspect also had a record for causing grievous hurt.
