PETALING JAYA: About 100 victims are feared to be trapped at a campsite at Father’s Organic Farm in Batang Kali following a landslide early Friday morning (Dec 16).
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Norazam Khamis said the incident occurred at about 3am.
“The landslide is about one acre wide and fell onto the campsite.
“Police estimated about 100 victims at the campsite during the incident,” he said when contacted on Friday.
Initial information revealed that 31 victims have been safely rescued so far, he said.
“Rescue personnel from more than six fire stations have been deployed to the location.
“Rescue efforts are still ongoing,” he said.
